PREOBRAZBA NAMIZNE LUČKE // DESK LAMP MAKEOVER

SLO | Od kar smo se preselili v drugo stanovanje imam več možnosti za urejanje prostora po svojih željah in moja rdeča nit v resnici ni rdeča ampak belo-sivo-črna v kombinaciji z lesom :) česar se držim pri izbiri pohištva in dodatkov za dom. So pa stvari, ki so z mano že kar nekaj let, ampak žal ne sodijo v moj koncept in vprašanje je kaj narediti? Jih zavreči in kupiti novo samo zato, ker se barvno ne ujema? Zakaj jih ne bi raje pobarvali ali drugače osvežili in tako iz starega kosa dobili takega, ki je videti kot nov?

ENG | Since we've moved to another apartment, I have more freedom to decorate it as I want. My colour scheme for new furniture and decor is white + grey + black in a combination with wood. But there are some things that I have for many years that don't match my concept and the question is what to do? Should I throw them away just because they don't match? Why wouldn't we refresh them or paint them and the old piece will look just like a new one?

SLO | Ena izmed teh stvari je tudi tale modra namizna lučka, ki je z mano že vsaj 9 let. Lučka še vedno deluje super, samo barva mi pa res ni bila več všeč, zato sem se odločila, da jo pobarvam. Najprej sem jo razstavila in dele, ki jih nisem želela pobarvati, oblepila z zaščitnim trakom in jih postavila na karton. Izbrala sem si bel - pure white satin mat- sprej in vse delčke enakomerno posprejala. Ko so se posušili z ene strani sem jih obrnila in pobarvala še drugo stran, dokler niso bili vsi deli pobarvani.

ENG | One of these 'old' things is this blue table lamp that has been with me for (at least) 9 years. The lamp is still working perfectly, but I didn't like the colour, so I decided to change it. Firstly, I disassambled it and then I protected all the pieces that I didn't want to colour with a masking tape. I put all the pieces on a cardboard. I chose a pure white satin mat spray and I evenly sprayed all the pieces. When they got dry I turned them around and I sprayed the other side(s) until all the pieces were sprayed.

SLO | Ko so se vsi deli dobro posušili sem lučko spet sestavila in tukaj je končni rezultat. :) Kako se ti zdi? Ti je bila bolj všeč modra ali nova bela? :) Zdaj si na vrsti ti, da osvežiš kakšen star kos, ki si zasluži novo priložnost ;)

ENG | When all the pieces were dry, I put them together again and here is the final result. :) What do you think? Do you prefer the blue or the new white one? :) Now is your turn to freshen up an old piece, it deserves a new opportunity ;)
